The NAACP Conference in Philadelphia, July 2015

On July 7, 2015, President Barack Obama addressed participants at the NAACP’S ANNUAL CONFERENCE in Philadelphia, Pa.

It was a three day event that highlighted issues affecting the Black community.

In his speech, the president demonstrated he’s on top of the news affecting our young people, especially those who are targeted unfairly in the criminal justice system.

He’s the first sitting president to visit inmates in prison, and sat down to listen to them. Our president, in his second term, has come to the realization that without the support system he had growing up;

“There, before the grace of God, go I.”

Perhaps the unrelenting hatred of him by the GOP has the president seeing the connection–if they could they would lock this decent man up, simply due to the color of his skin.

The disease of racism is a sore on the nation, now exposed. We have too many non-violent people of color victimized in the criminal justice system. Only the president could make such a push.

We, the people, salute you sir!
